Dear Parents,
Friday May 1st is the May crowning. Please remember to bring flowers on this day.

Thursday May 7th is our P.T.G. performance. Please be in my class no later than 5:45 p.m.  We go on stage promptly at 6:00 p.m. It is very important that your child take a nap for at least one hour before they return back to school. We have spent quite a lot of time preparing for this day. Tired children don't perform well.If your child is not used to taking a nap, one hour of rest would be sufficient. We will also be performing for the fun fair at 12:30p.m.
Remember full school uniform on the field trip to the zoo. And a sack lunch.
                                                                                         God Bless
                                                                                         Manel

Please do not address it to his/her friend. There will be a small Valentines Party and the room mother, Mrs. Grande, will inform you of the details.
As a Valentine project the OLA school is planning to send our soldiers gifts to show them our appreciation. The deadline is Tuesday Jan. 28th. The Kindergarten class is assigned to bring toothpaste and toothbrushes.
Don't forget your Jog-a-thon sponsor sheet. The student who brings the most sponsors will get a prize!

January 14th, 2009

Dear Parents,

Please collect as many can tops as possible for the Ronald McDonald House.  This will be an ongoing project throughout the year.  Thank you to Lila Rodriguez and family for bringing in a two-liter coke bottle full of can tops.  An excellent example of being an Ambassador of Hope.

Some of your children still have not brought in a white Daddy sock.  Please send a sock to school and be a Responsible Citizen.

We are learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Please make sure your children watch him on television on this day, January 19th.  Try January 15th too, as this is his actual birthday.

Occasionally your child will be bringing home a "Take Home" book.  They need to practice this at home and bring them back to school so I can take their reading. Saving these books for summer practice will be an excellent idea.  Also, please save the dioramas for future use.

Please have your child memorize the spelling for numbers 1-5.  There will be a written spelling test on Friday, January 23rd.
  1. one
  2. two
  3. three
  4. four
  5. five

Thank you!

A Very Happy New Year to all of you!  I hope you had a peaceful and restful holiday.

Thank you for all the thoughtful gifts during Christmas.  There was a teacher necklace with no card attached to it.  Please let me know whose it was so I can send him/her a Thank You card too.

Just a few reminders:

  • All dioramas are due by Friday so I can grade them.  Your children did a wonderful job with their presentations.
  • Please send in a clean white Daddy sock to school for an art project.
I remembered all of you at the manger.

Blessings,
  Ms. Manel
